Happy Study Tour on Eye Health

On November 2nd, Weipu Ophthalmology will host a Happy Eye Health Study Tour themed "Care for Eyes, Protect Vision". The event aims to help children learn eye health knowledge and timely prevent and correct vision problems.


The first stop of the study tour is a visit to the Optometry Department. Led by medical staff, the children will tour vision testing equipment, as well as facilities related to glasses fitting and orthokeratology lenses.With the doctor’s detailed explanations, the children will learn about the formation and prevention of myopia, the process of vision formation, and the development history of glasses through popular science boards and equipment.Doctors will interact with the children through on-site Q&A sessions. This edutainment approach will deepen the children’s understanding of the knowledge, helping them realize the importance of protecting eyesight and that caring for their eyes starts with small daily actions

The second stop of the study tour brought the children to the outpatient meeting room for a myopia popular science lecture. Doctors from the Optometry Department of Weipu Ophthalmology delivered an engaging and informative eye health science talk to the children.Using accessible language and combined with eye models, she explained the causes of myopia, preventive measures, and how to use electronic devices scientifically and reasonably in a simple and easy-to-understand way.The children listened attentively, participated actively in interactions, and gained great benefits from the lecture

She also put forward reasonable suggestions on how to maintain a correct sitting posture, control eye usage time, maintain an appropriate frequency of outdoor activities, and perform eye exercises properly.

The third stop of the study tour is an examination experience. Ophthalmology medical staff conduct professional vision tests and optometry for each student participating in the experience. They also establish eye health records and provide professional guidance based on different examination results.
Before the event ends, staff from Weipu Ophthalmology distribute steam eye masks to each child and explain how to wear them correctly.

The event came to an end amid gains and laughter. May every child keep the eye health knowledge in mind, start caring for their eyes in daily life, and enhance their awareness of eye health.
